The Beaveree

Description:

Dear Parents,

The Beaveree at Blue Springs Scout Reserve-Blue Heron will be happening on Saturday June 8th to Sunday June 9th. As a group we have already committed to going but we will need firm commitments (i.e. numbers actually attending) for this Wednesday. Also, the following is an excerpt from an email we received from Mary Ann Willett, the coordinator of the Beaveree:

Activities Planned

7th Milton-Catapults

1st Georgetown-Slingshots

1st Campbellville-Cannons

1st Huttonville-Facepainting

11th Brampton-Craft

*please send me your activity your group has planned so we can ensure no duplications

Totem Pole

We will all be building sections of a totem pole on Saturday morning between 10-11 am (bristol board wrapped around sono tube) that we will assemble during opening ceremonies at 11 am. Please bring any craft supplies you will need to decorate your section. We will provide you with the bristol board at camp on Saturday.

Campfire Saturday Night

This year 11th Brampton will be running the campfire for our Beaveree. Please make up a cheer, and song or skit to share at the campfire. You can email them to me in advance if you wish.

Important

In order to comply with Scouts Canada policies, all parents staying overnight must have completed their Child and Youth safety training and have a signed code of conduct. We are trying to arrange to have a Child and Youth Safety training session run at camp, but are trying to work out the logistics of it as it has a video component to it. It would be much easier if your Beaver parents have it completed before coming to camp. If you need to have a session run, please speak with your Group Commissioner.

Thank you.

The 8th Brampton Leaders
